Its hard to say whether its Jennifer Nettle's powerful voice, their "Everyday America" appeal, or perhaps its their series of #1 country singles that make Sugarland country's top duo. Either way, the fans, country radio, and America can't get enough of them. Sugarland tour dates are scheduled nationally with the duo bringing "The Incredible Machine Tour," to a venue in your area this spring and summer. Sugarland, actually started out as a trio including Nettles, guitarist Kristian Bush and songwriter Kristen Hall (who exited the band shortly after achieving mainstream success). The band signed a recording deal with Mercury Nashville in 2004 and released their first single, "Baby Girl," from their debut album, "Twice the Speed of Light." The single and album were a huge success, "Baby Girl" peaked at #2 on Billboard's Country Songs survey and the album was certified triple platinum. Sugarland booked tour dates as the opening act for Brad Paisley in 2005 and for Brooks & Dunn in 2006. Their debut album continued to release hit after hit, with "Something More," and "Just Might Believe," receiving gold certifications in 2005. The group topped off their year by winning the American Music Award for Favorite Breakthrough New Artist.
Following the exit of Hall, Sugarland returned to the studio to record their sophomore set, "Enjoy the Ride," in late 2006. The album's first single, "Want To," became their first #1 country single and the album debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. "Enjoy the Ride" spawned three more top ten country singles and was eventually certified triple platinum. The duo also won the Top New Duo award from the Academy of Country Music and received a Best New Artist Grammy nomination in 2006. The Sugarland concert schedule included a stint as the opening act for Kenny Chesney's "Flip Flop Summer Tour 2006," and a performance at the CMT Awards.
The band was quick to return to the studio and in 2008, they released their third album, "Love on the Inside." 2008 proved to be the band's breakout year, earning them their first #1 album on the Billboard 200, two Grammy awards, two CMA awards, and the ACM award for Top Vocal Duo. They released three #1 hit singles from the album and Sugarland booked tour dates as the headliners of the "Love on the Inside Tour," which featured Kellie Pickler as the opening act. The Sugarland concert schedule also included dates overseas in France, Germany, England, and Ireland and they visited various American military bases.
In the summer of 2010, the duo released their first single from their "The Incredible Machine" album, "Stuck Like Glue," to skepticism from the country music media. The song features a rap from Nettles and an unconventional chorus. The gamble paid off when the single became their highest charting song on the US pop charts and the album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. The duo shows no signs up letting up, Sugarland tour dates are scheduled nationally throughout spring and summer 2011. The Sugarland concert schedule includes their headlining stint on the Incredible Machine Tour," which features opening acts Sara Bareilles and Little Big Town. Nettle's powerful vocals and the duo's clever lyrics have made them a crowd favorite since "Baby Girl," was released in 2004. transfer events from one calendar to another via an .ics file format. An
.ics file can have a single event or a list of events. You can download the
.ics file and import it into your calendar for a snapshot of the data or
you can subscribe and let your calendar program update the event data in
your calendar automatically.
CSV
CSV (short for "comma-separated values") is a simple data format that many
programs, such as Microsoft Excel, use for importing and exporting data.
You can import a list of events into Microsoft Outlook, Yahoo! Calendar,
and other tools by using this CSV file.
